A cuddle for the "Fourth"

Jack must have really missed us when we were living at the academy, because he's even glad to see Lydia. To say the cats love Lydia would be stretching the truth quite a bit. Oz enjoys the attention until she begins poking him with a feather instead of waving the feather to play...but otherwise the cats keep their distance.
Lydia is wearing her flag dress from Uncle Tony. Tony is originally from Italy and Lydia is originally from China...so he said he felt a kinship with her this Fourth of July. It's a cute dress and she, Russell and I appreciate the gift.

Notice Lydia's hairline too everybody. Her "bangs"have pretty much either been non-existant or just fuzz since we adopted her...but now she's starting to get some length!!. It won't be long until I can get out the hairclips and bows! I can hardly wait!

SOOOO CUTE!!!! Did Lydia hear her Uncle Tony screaming at the top of his lungs when Italy beat Germany in the semi-finals of the World Cup (soccer) this afternoon? We figured you could hear him in KY all the way from VA!
P.S.....Lydia, stop showing your business! LOL
Love, Laura

Years from now, this will be one of your favorite photos because of the way Jack is cuddled up to her and how her expression is rather curious and maybe a bit anxious about the whole thing! Can you imagine how soft and warm Jack felt to her? Or how heavy he was? I wonder how she really felt about it and if she was as pleased and surprised as you were...
